Stockholm is the capital of Sweden and the most populous city in Scandinavia. It is the political hub of the country, being the seat of the Swedish government and the official residency of the Swedish monarchy. And it is also the cultural, media, and economic heart of Sweden.
The city is unusual as its spread across 14 islands on the southeastern coast of Sweden – making water central to the city and its residents.
